IRCC Unveils Updated Eligibility Criteria for Post-Graduation Work Permits
Sheeba Joseph / 3 Min Read
On January 22nd, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) introduced significant changes aimed at stabilizing growth and reducing the number of international study permits for the year 2024. To align the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) with these modifications, IRCC has announced updates to the eligibility criteria for the program. Starting in September 2024, a noteworthy adjustment will affect international students enrolled in study programs associated with curriculum licensing agreements, rendering them ineligible for a PGWP upon graduation.
