Generally saying, any kind of misrepresentation can lead to serious conseuqences, this is why a simple but true advice would be - never lie. Provide the facts and explanations, do not try to fool the system. Officers are proprely trained to search omissions, and if you heard that someone succeded in that, then it is their luck. For now. However, it may come up in any of their future applications.
