My name is Paola Gongora, I was born in Bogota, Colombia, but immigrated to Canada over twenty years ago. I am fluent in Spanish and English which allows me to connect with the Spanish community. I hold a Bachelors degree in political science and a Bachelors degree in Law and society from the University of Calgary. I became a licensed RCIC in early 2024 and I am currently a Member at the Immigration Refugee Protection Division where I decide refugee claims.

Prior to this, I worked for over five years in social services where I provided case management, employment services, and program development. I hold significant experience working with individuals struggling with homelessness, mental health, and addiction. My passion for helping vulnerable populations allows me to develop strong rapports with clients and to advocate for their best interests.

I am currently on leave and therefore not accepting new clients, but I look forward to working with clients from various immigration backgrounds.
