My name is Yuliya Shevchenko. I work as an employed RCIC-IRB for a Calgary-based immigration firm.

I realized quite early in life that I was not driven by money or success as most people view it today. This pushed me to explore different careers, countries, and companies. All I needed was the purpose. I just couldn't see myself doing something without a clear vision WHY I was doing it and HOW it helped people.

When I moved to Canada and just started my quite carefree and exciting life there, the war in my home country paralyzed me without any option of continuing what I was doing before. Then and there I realized that my purpose was showing itself in all its inexplicable glory. That's how I decided to become an immigration specialist and help people all over the world to start their new lives in this amazing country.

That is how I graduated from Queen's University with a Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law in 2024 and started working as a Licensed Consultant.

During all the years of my big search, I was lucky to have traveled to 40 countries, to have lived in 3, and to have learned 4 languages (Swedish being the most random one). I love the mountains and feel blessed to live where they are so close and available for a hike any time of the year. I enjoy doing hot yoga and will always dance where there is music. I don't like pushy people but would always go extra mile for a nice genuine person.
