Luz Elena Garrido, R731350, is a highly-trained Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC-IRB) with a robust background in business and marketing, spanning over 20 years in the private sector.
Originally from Chile, Luz Elena studied Business Administration at Arturo Prat University and after moving to Canada, she furthered her education with studies in Marketing and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Liberal Studies from Simon Fraser University. Her academic journey culminated with a postgraduate degree in Immigration Law from Queen’s University.
Luz Elena meets all the stringent requirements set by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). She has completed the specialized program designed for RCICs, equipping her with the necessary knowledge, skills, and judgment to practice before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB). This board is Canada’s largest independent administrative tribunal, established by the Parliament of Canada to adjudicate on immigration and refugee matters. Through passing the specialization exam, Luz Elena obtained her RCIC-IRB licence (R731350), affirming her capability to represent clients safely and ethically in the public interest.
As a member of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants, Luz Elena adheres to the highest standards of professional conduct. The College regulates the practice of Canadian immigration and citizenship consultants, and it is a punishable offence for anyone to provide Canadian immigration advice for a fee without being licensed by the College.
