About Me

I'm an RCIC and co-founding partner of Fireweed Immigration and Citizenship Services in Edmonton, Alberta. My path to immigration consulting has been shaped by personal experience, which taught me that immigration isn't just about paperwork; it's about people navigating one of the most significant transitions of their lives.

My academic background includes an MA in Philosophy from KU Leuven in Belgium and a Graduate Diploma in Immigration Law from Queen's University. I bring this analytical training to every case, whether it's a straightforward study permit or a complex refugee claim.

At Fireweed, I serve as Technology & Marketing Officer alongside my partners Kenrick Stewart and David Waterman. Our three-RCIC collaborative model means clients benefit from multiple perspectives and specialized expertise—something rare in a field dominated by solo practitioners.

I'm particularly passionate about serving multilingual communities that often face barriers to quality immigration services. I speak Spanish and I work with Spanish-speaking clients from Latin America, drawing on both linguistic ability and genuine cultural understanding. I believe strongly in ethical practice, transparency, and education—helping clients understand not just what we're doing, but why. Immigration law is complex enough without adding confusion about the process itself.

Beyond individual casework, I'm committed to thought leadership in our field, addressing issues like LMIA fraud and advocating for vulnerable populations. If you're looking for an RCIC who combines technical expertise with genuine understanding of the immigrant experience, I'd welcome the opportunity to discuss how Fireweed can help you achieve your Canadian immigration goals.
