Following is the snapshot of all MPNP (Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program) with unique and important points to consider for each MPNP stream:
1. Skilled Worker Stream
This stream is for skilled workers who have the skills and experience needed in Manitoba’s labour market.
A. Skilled Worker in Manitoba
- Who is eligible?
- Individuals currently working in Manitoba with a valid work permit.
- Individuals who have received a job offer from a Manitoba employer.
- Key Points:
- No points-based ranking.
- Must show a strong connection to Manitoba (work, family, friends, etc.).
- Pathway to permanent residency if employed in a high-demand occupation.
Skilled Worker Overseas
- Who is eligible?
- Individuals outside Canada who have strong ties to Manitoba (family, friends, previous education, etc.).
- Those with relevant skills and work experience matching Manitoba's in-demand occupations.
- Candidates can apply through two pathways:
i. Express Entry Pathway
- For individuals who have an active profile in Canada's Express Entry system.
- Requires higher language proficiency and skilled work experience.
- Faster processing time.
ii. Direct Application Pathway
- For individuals without an Express Entry profile.
- Can apply directly to MPNP if they have:
- Family or friends in Manitoba.
- Previous education or work experience in Manitoba.
- A job offer from a Manitoba employer.
2. International Education Stream (for graduates from Manitoba institutions)
This stream is for international graduates from Manitoba post-secondary institutions who want to stay and work in Manitoba.
A. Career Employment Pathway
- For graduates with job offers in Manitoba in in-demand occupations.
- Must have completed a one-year post-secondary program in Manitoba.
- Job offer must be full-time and permanent.
B. Graduate Internship Pathway
- For international graduates who have completed a Master's or Doctoral (PhD) degree in Manitoba.
- No job offer required if the graduate completed an internship under:
- Mitacs Elevate.
- Accelerate Internship programs.
C. International Student Entrepreneur Pilot
- For graduates who want to start a business in Manitoba.
- Must have completed a two-year post-secondary program in Manitoba.
- Must operate their business for at least six months before nomination.
3. Business Investor Stream
This stream is for individuals who want to invest in or start a business in Manitoba.
A. Entrepreneur Pathway
- For individuals who want to:
- Start a new business.
- Purchase an existing business.
- Become a partner in a Manitoba business.
- Minimum investment of CAD $250,000 in Winnipeg or CAD $150,000 outside Winnipeg.
- Must create at least one job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
B. Farm Investor Pathway
- For individuals who want to establish and operate a farm in rural Manitoba.
- Requires farm management experience.
- Minimum investment of CAD $300,000.
