Starting 21st August 2025, all Express Entry applicants will have to provide Upfront Medical Exams during the final submission of their PR applications.

All those applications submitted prior to 21st August will be processed as per the previous rule.
If applicants have completed an immigration medical exam previously( for a study or a work permit application), that is within 5 years of submitting the new PR application and if they are currently living in Canada, they are exempted from a medical exam and can submit the IME number from their previous medical exam record.
Family members must submit their medical exam even if they are not included( non-accompanying) in the primary applicant's PR application.

Immigration medical exams (IMEs) must be completed by a physician who is on the IRCC-approved panel.

You can find the list of Panel Physicians from the link below

P.S- Applicants are advised to get the Medical exam done only after they receive an ITA( Invitation to Apply).
