Make Saskatchewan Your New Home: Start or Grow Your Business with the SINP Entrepreneur Program. Are you an entrepreneur dreaming of building a business in Canada—and calling this beautiful country your home? Saskatchewan could be the perfect place to start your next chapter. Let’s look today some important facts you must know if you are interested to apply for SINP Entrepreneur program.
Through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) Entrepreneur Program, you can live in Saskatchewan while you start, buy, or partner in a business here. Not only will you have the opportunity to grow a successful business, but you’ll also be working toward permanent residency in Canada.
If that sounds exciting, let’s explore how this program works and why Saskatchewan might just be the place for you.
Why Saskatchewan? - Saskatchewan is known for its friendly communities, affordable lifestyle, and strong economy. It’s a province where businesses are welcomed, supported, and encouraged to thrive. Whether you’re interested in agriculture, technology, retail, manufacturing—or any number of industries—there’s plenty of room to grow here. And the best part is that you get to enjoy a high quality of life while doing it. Think clean air, great schools, and a wonderful place to raise a family.
What Is the SINP Entrepreneur Program?
The SINP Entrepreneur Program is designed for experienced business owners or senior managers who want to own and actively manage a business in Saskatchewan.
This program gives you the chance to:
· Start a brand-new business
· Buy an existing business
· Partner with an existing business owner
It’s not just about investing money—it’s about becoming part of a community, building something meaningful, and contributing to the province’s economic growth.
How Does It Work?
1: Expression of Interest (EOI)
You’ll start by submitting an Expression of Interest to let the province know about your background, your business idea, and your intention to move to Saskatchewan.
2: Invitation to Apply
If your EOI scores high enough, you’ll be invited to submit a complete application with more details about yourself and your business plan.
3: Temporary Work Permit & Business Setup
Once your application is approved, you’ll receive a temporary work permit. This allows you to move to Saskatchewan and start building your business. You’ll need to run the business for a certain period—usually at least 6 months to 2 years—while meeting the conditions you agreed on.
4: Apply for Permanent Residency
After successfully operating your business and fulfilling the program’s requirements, you can apply for a provincial nomination. This nomination lets you take the next step—applying for permanent residency in Canada.
The Requirements:
To apply for the SINP Entrepreneur Program, you typically need:
· A minimum net worth of $500,000 CAD
· A minimum investment of $300,000 CAD if you’re opening your business in Saskatoon or Regina,
· or $200,000 CAD if it’s in a smaller community
· At least 3 years of business ownership or management experience
· A commitment to actively manage your business.
· You may need to create at least one job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

You’ll have the flexibility to bring your family, grow your business in a supportive environment, and eventually apply for permanent residency, leading to Canadian citizenship down the road.
