Reviewing your Express Entry profile documents carefully is one of the most important steps that you cannot miss before you submit you express entry profile. Even when you create a profile on the IRCC portal proofreading, checking for typos, discrepancies, or incomplete sections and review can prevent any kind of misrepresentations and errors. By doing so your are significantly enhancing your chances for a successful submission. Here are some steps to ensure your Express Entry profile is as strong as possible:

1.        Accuracy in Personal Information: Double-check all personal details: name, date of birth, and other identifying details.

2.        Passport Validity: Ensure your passport is up to date and has minimum 6 months validity, and all details in the passport align with the information in your profile.

3.        Education Credential Assessment (ECA): Verify that if you studied abroad your ECA matches your highest level of education and that it’s from an approved institution. All education credentials must be recorded so that you can claim points for Education.

4.        Transcript Details: Obtain transcripts from all the universities you pursued and completed studies. Ensure the names, dates and the year of graduation on transcripts align with your degree(s).

5.        Language Proficiency: Ensure your language test scores are valid (within 2 years at the time of submission) and from an approved agency, such as IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF. Do not make any errors while entering the scores for each of the skill component.

6.        Work Experience: One of the most important factors in an express entry profile is the NOC Code (National Occupational Classification). Carefully choose the correct NOC code for each job based on your job duties rather than just job title. You gain points if you fall under the NOC TEER 0,1,2 or 3 and also depending on the number of years of experience in Canada and abroad (as foreign work experience). Employment Letters: All the employment letters must include clear descriptions of your duties, job title, employment dates, salary, and company contact information. Also make sure to provide pay stubs, tax returns etc for a perfect express entry profile.

7.        Proof of Funds: Make sure you have enough funds to meet the minimum required settlement based on family size. Bank statements that are recent, having a steady balance and not a sudden deposit can be shown, Paystubs and Tax returns can be provided for a Canadian experience Class application.

8.        Family Information: Accurately enter information for all dependents, including accompanying and non-accompanying family members, and ensure consistency in names and dates.

9.        PCC, Medical and other supporting documents are to be provided after you receive an ITA at the time of final application submission. Translate any supporting document if required from a certified translator.

IRCC’s policies and guidelines keep changing so ensure to check the IRCC’s official website or consult an Immigration Consultant to ensure compliance. Taking these steps can greatly improve the quality and accuracy of your Express Entry submission, enhancing your chances for a successful profile.
