Proof of Funds of the Financial requirements to be eligible for Express Entry in Canada varies depending on the number of members you support in your family and those accompanying you to Canada. The funds requirement is periodically updated by the Canadian government. Anyone applying for a Federal Skilled Worker, or a Federal Skilled Trade are required to submit proof of Funds in the form of financial Statements to IRCC to be eligible for the program. However, if you qualify for Canadian Express Class or if you are authorised to work in Canada and can support yourself in Canada you do not have to provide proof of funds documents. 

Proof of Funds can Include- Cash, Real Estate, FDs’ shares, Mutual funds, Stocks, bonds etc. They have to be shown in the financial documents from Banks and other financial institutions.

These funds are intended to demonstrate that you have enough money to support yourself and your family members during your initial stay in Canada and they are subjected to change by IRCC at regular periods over the year.

NOTE - How much money should you bring while you arrive at the borders/Airport in Canada? –

Any amount beyond $CAD 10000 has to be declared at the Border.
