If you don’t know who needs an Authorization to Return to Canada (ARC), then I strongly recommend checking out this article about Authorization to return to Canada before you proceed any further.

You may require having ARC for your Temporary or Permanent residency application in Canada. Please note, ARC must be applied at the same time of your Temporary or Permanent residency application in Canada. All you need to do is write a separate letter and pay the additional fees for ARC (the fee is $479.75 as of Dec 2024, please check before you apply).

In this article I will share a SAMPLE on how to write the letter for ARC and the possible content of this.

Other pro tips

·        ARC is never assured, only this letter can help you to get ARC. Therefore, please explain as much details as possible with the relevant evidence as applicable.

·        All documents must be in either English or French. Any documents not in English or French must be accompanied by a certified translation.

·        Documents sent as attachments cannot exceed 4 MB in size. Any attachment larger than 5 MB must be divided into smaller separate attachments.
