3. Enter Consultant Details

You can search using any of the following:

• Full name of the consultant
• RCIC number (begins with R######)
• Company name

4. Check the Consultant’s Status

Once you find the name:

• Look for a status like "Active – Good Standing"
• Ensure they are authorized for the specific services (e.g., IRB representation if needed)
• View contact info and whether they have any disciplinary history

Warning Signs of Unauthorized Consultants

• They cannot show an RCIC number or refuse to give their full name.
• Their name is not listed on the CICC register.
• They use terms like “immigration agent” or “immigration advisor” without CICC backing.
• They make guarantees of visa approval (no one can legally do that).
