If you are a physician/ doctor, then both WES and MCC may work depending on the primary NOC you will claim for your application process. If your primary NOC is one of the below, then MCC is your only option.

·        specialist in clinical and laboratory medicine (NOC code 31100)

·        specialist in surgery (NOC code 31101)

·        general practitioner or family physician (NOC code 31102)

Please check NOC website (https://noc.esdc.gc.ca/ ) to understand the details of the above NOC requirements.

However, if you are a physician/ doctor but your primary NOC is none of the above then you can go for WES or any other designated ECA organization. Please note that the chance is very little except WES any other entity will accept the ECA application for such background. So, I strongly recommend WES if you are not going for MCC for your ECA application.

If you are wondering, how this can be possible that being a physician/ doctor you may have another NOC except the above 03, here are some samples for you.

·        00013 – Senior managers - health, education, social and community services and membership organizations

·        30010 – Managers in health care

·        40010 – Government managers - health and social policy development and program administration
