An Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) for Canada is valid for up to five years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. It allows for multiple visits to Canada within that timeframe. Here's a breakdown of key details:

Validity Period
The eTA is linked to your passport and remains valid for up to five years or until your passport expires, whichever occurs first.

Entries
You can visit Canada as many times as you wish during the eTA's validity, provided your passport remains valid. If you renew your passport, a new eTA is required, even if the original one is still valid.

Length of Stay
The eTA does not determine the duration of your stay in Canada.  Typically, visitors are allowed to stay in Canada for up to six months, though the border services officer may adjust the length of stay.
