Today’s Express Entry Category-based draw is for Trade occupations. A total of 1,800 ITAs were issued, with the lowest-ranked candidate having a CRS score of 433.
This is only the second draw for the Trade occupations category this year. The previous one was conducted on July 4, 2024 with 1,800 ITAs and a CRS cutoff score of 436. All in all, 3,600 ITAs have been issued for the Trade occupations category, which is >4% of the total ITAs issued till date. This category is among the lowest in terms of ITA issuance, with Transportation and Agriculture. In total, 37,875 ITAs have been issued for category-based draws (which include French, Healthcare, STEM, Trade, Transportation and Agriculture), which is 41.7% of the total ITAs issued to date.
To be eligible for the Trade occupations category, you must have 6 months of full-time, continuous work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work experience) in the last three (3) years in the following occupations:
- Residential and commercial installers and servicers (NOC 73200)
- Elevator constructors and mechanics (NOC 72406)
- Machine fitters (NOC 72405)
- Heating, refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics (NOC 72402)
- Construction millwrights and industrial mechanics (NOC 72400)
- Carpenters (NOC 72310)
- Plumbers (NOC 72300)
- Electricians (except industrial and power system) (NOC 72200)
- Welders and related machine operators (NOC 72106)
- Contractors and supervisors, other construction trades, installers, repairers and servicers (NOC 72014)
Your work experience may be in Canada or abroad. And, of course, you must meet the CRS cutoff score of the draw.
