On October 22, 2024, an Express Entry draw was conducted on the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program. A total of 400 invitations were issued, with the lowest ranked candidate having a CRS score of 539. The score cut-off was the same as the last draw (October 9, 2024), but with 100 less ITAs issued. 

This year, CEC-specific draws started in May, with a total of eight (8) CEC draws until today. A total of 25,700 ITAs have been issued under this program. 

A pattern can be observed as well, with PNP draws being conducted a day before CEC draws. This could have lowered the score considerably had IRCC continued with the number of ITAs issued for CEC until September (which were 3,200 to 6,300 each draw), but the last two draws' ITAs were reduced by 90% (with just 500 and 400 invites).

Below you can see the Express Entry pool size as published in the IRCC website. With lesser number of ITAs being issued, additional high-score profiles getting added, and changing political rhetoric, it can be projected that the CRS score will continue to climb until the end of the year. We will remain hopeful for 2025.

As of October 22, 2024,  211,780 profiles were registered in the Express Entry pool. In 2024, Canada has already issued a total of 89,035 invitations through 42 Express Entry draws.
