Under certain streams, international students are eligible to apply for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).  The primary routes that international students can take are as follows:

 1. Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream
 International students who have received a job offer from an Ontario business are eligible to enrol in this track.  Among the prerequisites are:

An offer of a permanent, full-time position in a skilled field (TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 under NOC 2021)

 completion of a one-year postgraduate program or a two-year diploma or degree from a Canadian university The offer of employment must adhere to Ontario's salary regulations.

2.  Masters Graduate Stream
International students who have earned a master's degree in Ontario are eligible to enrol in this track. The requirements are:

•  A master's degree from a university in Ontario that qualifies
• Lived in Ontario for at least 1 year in the last 2 years
•    Adequate language skills (CLB 7 in French or English)
• Settlement money to sustain oneself
•  Intent to live in Ontario and work there
      

·              3. PhD Graduate Stream
For students in Ontario who have earned a PhD. Among the prerequisites are:

•   A PhD from a university in Ontario that qualifies
• Lived in Ontario for at least 1 year in the last 2 years
• Funds for settlement
• Intent to live in Ontario

4.Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream (if you have high CRS scores and education in Ontario)

Do International Students Need a Job Offer?

• Not required for the Masters Graduate and PhD Graduate Streams
• Required for the Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream
