You are in luck and you may be sponsored by Spouse or Common-law Partner in Canada Class even if you are out of status in Canada. This is possible because of the special spousal public policy. But there are some other conditions you need to be aware of to be considered for this special exemption.

Last but not the least, you must  be carefull about meeting all the criteria to be considered as an inland spousal sponsorhip applicant. This public policy only saves you from being out of status, nothing more, nothing less.
