An authorized representative for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is an individual or organization who is authorized to represent and assist applicants with their immigration matters. Authorized representatives can provide guidance, assistance, and representation throughout the immigration application process. This includes helping applicants understand eligibility requirements, completing application forms, communicating with IRCC on behalf of the applicant, and providing advice on immigration matters.

An Authorized representatives can include:

ü  Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs): These are professionals who are members in good standing of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC). RCICs are authorized to represent and assist applicants with Canadian immigration matters.

However, if an applicant chooses to use a representative, they must ensure that the representative is authorized by IRCC and meets the necessary qualifications and standards of professional conduct. Additionally, applicants should be cautious of unauthorized representatives who may provide misleading or fraudulent advice.
